Did you know that non fiction books are grouped according to topic?  Libraries use the Dewey Decimal system to organize shelves of books.

The Grade Fives and Sixes from Mr.Malmberg and Mr.Kennedy's classes have been researching the Dewey Decimal system in the library with Mrs. Moore.  Both grades worked in groups to discover what types of books were on the numbered shelves.

Mrs. Moore's Grade 5 media class created VOKI commercials to tell about each section of the Dewey Decimal system.  The Grade 6's created Wordles from the subject words for each section.
